About
A much-heralded parkland-links course from Colin Montgomerie
Located on the coast just minutes from Da Nang’s international airport and the three-time winner of Best Course in Vietnam at the Asia Golf Awards, The Montgomerie Links Golf Club is a beautifully-maintained championship calibre layout that winds its way though a striking landscape of casuarina pines and sand dunes. Fast-running fairways and contoured green complexes combine with thick rough, numerous lakes and steams and extensive bunkering to offer a thrilling round that places a premium on accuracy.
The greens are large and undulating, and the bunkers deep and imposing, the pristine white sand contrasting beautifully with the impeccably maintained Paspalum playing surface. Despite the name, it would be more accurate to describe the course as a mix of parkland and links styles, but either way the course is a real treat.
The pick of the front nine is probably the short dogleg par-4 4th, which plays from an elevated tee that tempts you to get as close to the green as you can. However, there's a small lake at the corner, and in fact the further you drive, the narrower the fairway becomes as large bunkers encroach. The percentage play is to lay up and take a mid-iron into a green protected on the right by a lake.
It's another par-4 that stands out after the turn, the 455-yard 13th. Again, the temptation is to go as long as possible off the tee, but the seemingly generous landing area features a bunker right in the centre. More sand awaits either side for those who over-correct. Even from position A, you'll face a demanding uphill approach through a narrowing channel to the sharply sloping green, with trees on one side and water on the other.
The clubhouse at Montgomerie Links is contemporary and spacious, and there is a comprehensive driving range/practice facility. The course is always kept in top-notch condition, and its convenient location means that Montgomerie Links Vietnam is a must-play on your next golf holiday in Da Nang.

Good course, green run true
The course was good one hole closed for what reason I don't know as we drove by no work was be done on the 17th , but had a good dayGreat caddies, nice course, made up a 4 ball and good company
Lovely layout, plenty of trouble if wayward, couple of green still damaged from floods last year. Really enjoyed it though and will play again.Good golf course at City area - Montgomerie
Recommend this course if you stay at the city area and or at the resorts along the Seaside. Very convenient location. Green speed is acceptable. Cart can be on fairway. Caddy is good as well. Price is more reasonable comparing with the Legend Course just right next to Montgomerie.Course Info
